Whetstone Legacy

a year-long seminar for post-work, highly resourced individuals, including those who are approaching or have exited their positions, who are actively engaged in the next inquiry of how to put their lives to best use

In Whetstone Legacy, we look at what it means to self-actualize after one’s material circumstances are effectively handled for life, leaving one in a deeply privileged but also isolated position relative to the rest of the planet. Whetstone Legacy is for people seeking to explore questions that are important to them as individuals, in service of their own reinvention, as they move into a new chapter of contribution to the world. As the seminar culls readings from multiple disciplines to support our inquiries, it is a natural fit for the life-long learner and curious mind. On the other side of the program, participants should expect a clarified direction in addition to their personal growth. Participants may identify, design, or actualize new initiatives to put their passion, talent, time, energy, and resources toward.

As a group seminar with similarly positioned peers, Whetstone Legacy participants vulnerably explore their humanity and look anew at what it is to be fully alive. Each person gets grounded in who they are intrinsically, and what motivates them spiritually. We investigate what we have created, the creative process itself, and what we are moved to create next. We get supported to reinvent and move into what may be unfamiliar realms that speak to our values, purpose, and connection with the larger world. Ultimately, we identify metaphorical playgrounds of commitments to actualize a way of being on the planet.
